Who we are

MapStay (“we”, “us”) provides spatial booking tools for hotels: operator dashboards, guest floorplan maps, embeddable widgets, demos, and related marketing. This policy covers the MapStay web application and emails we send.

Summary

• We use first-party analytics cookies only after you accept the consent prompt (or equivalent consent).
• Optional Meta Pixel and Google Tag may load on demo, signup, onboarding, and promo pages, never on the guest widget embed or operator dashboard, and only after analytics consent.
• Account, property, and booking-related data are processed to run the product for hotel operators and their guests.
• Raw analytics events are retained for about 90 days.

Information we collect

Account and property data

When you create an operator account or use the dashboard, we process information such as email address, authentication credentials (via our auth provider), property names and settings, floorplans, room inventory, publish snapshots, and PMS connection metadata needed to sync rooms and reservations.

Guest and booking flow data

Guest maps and widgets may process selection and checkout context (dates, room choices, hold references) so bookings can continue in the hotel’s property management system. We do not intend guest widget analytics to include payment card details; payments are handled by the hotel’s PMS or payment provider when connected.

Marketing contacts

If you submit demo feedback, subscribe to updates, or sign up, we may store your name, email, interest signals, and related context (for example business size, language, or approximate location derived from network headers) in our marketing contact records. You can unsubscribe from marketing email via links in those messages.

Cookies

Analytics and attribution cookies are written only after you accept analytics cookies. Declining clears them. Consent is stored as mapstay-analytics-consent. Signed-in sessions use authentication cookies from our auth provider (Supabase).

How we use information

Account, property, and booking-related data are processed to run the product for hotel operators and their guests.

Sharing

We share data with service providers that help us run MapStay (hosting, email, connected PMS). We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Raw analytics events are retained for about 90 days.

Your choices

Accept or decline analytics cookies via the on-site prompt. Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any MapStay message, or visit /unsubscribe. /unsubscribe.

Children

MapStay is intended for business users and hotel guests booking stays. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 for marketing purposes.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The last-updated date at the top will change when we do.
